Me too. Of course, Kirmser's list is under the musictrader.com site, which is still down. Hopefully, it will be back.

Just some scattered ones that I know of. Connloyalist, Olds Central, maybe Bach , H.N. White (King), French Besson , etc. We have gotten used to the Kirmser convenience, all right. Probably Horn-u-copia threads have scattered serial data , although the Kirmser link is used a lot there. Maybe there are some others out there. I printed out a sheet on British Besson numbers for reference. Site is still gone.

..I saved the Reynolds and Olds numbers off Lars' site if anyone needs them please pm me..I have them in an excel file. I met Lars a year or two ago..very nice gentlemen and very helpful to the comeback player.
I wonder if we ought to have a sticky thread with collections of serial number on the TH site?..or even a tab like for the forum etc that would be collections of serial numbers with credit/reference to their original compiler or source? I'm not a html type but am wondering out loud I guess.

That's a good idea , Randy. I have just been looking at Horn-u-copia and they have a re-designed site, very well done, with a tab for serials on the top. Once you select that you get a list of manufacturer's similar to Kirmser's, but with the numbers extracted right there, for easy access. Some are not there, probably using Kirmser's link. So, I think a lot of the work has been done for us. If everyone could check and see if they have serials that are not there, you could submit them to Kenton for replacing the 'missing link' The one's affected are:
Bach
Benge
Blessing
Boosey & Hawkes
Boston Musical Instrument
Buescher
Bundy
Distin
Frank
Getzen
Holton
Keefer
Mirafone
Shilke
Selmer

Hi Dave,
That works too..turns out I had copied and saved the Holton list from Lars' site as well as the Olds and Reynolds info. ..plus some tidbits about old King horns as well as the serials list from the excellent HNWhite.com site. I also have the Martin info from Rob Stewarts list of serials on the Excel file.
I've also submitted some info in he past to the Bach serial number site that hopefully clarified some numbers in the late 70's with my Mercedes.. I should be able to find that link saved somewhere in my stash of fav's ..it could be useful.
I'd be happy to shoot a copy of the Excel file that way. Whatever is done, I'd really like to make sure that it's acknowledged where the info is coming from. That being Lars Kirmser, Rob Stewart, and HNWhite.com for the most part.

Thanks, glad you have some of the missing info. I suspect a lot of us have some serials of special interest squirreled away somewhere that could fill in the gaps of some. There are always going to be some gaps, as we endlessly discuss on the forums. I would think Kenton wouldn't have any objection in crediting whatever the source is of our info.
I think Musictrader had phone numbers, wonder if any one has been in contact recently with Lars and could find out what is happening, as if the website disappearance will be a permanent thing? We can check with Kenton and see what he says. If all your stuff is on excel it would probably be easy for him to transfer pertain lists to the manufacturers' links.

Yes..all my list info is on an Excel spreadsheet with separate tabs for Olds King, Martin, Holton, etc. I used Excel since I was trying to estimate some dates of manufacture for Martin and King horns, so Excel was the obvious choice to do the calculation.
It should be no problem to cut and paste. Let me know but in the meantime if anyone needs any of the info now pm me and I'll forward the file.

Thanks! I have posted on H advising Kenton of the matter and asked if we could send data over to be integrated with his serials on Horn-u-copia.

Here's one collection of Bach serial numbers from my website, http://www.electrotheremin.com/bach.html
I've got a huge update to make to it whenever I get a chance. Lots of new material to add, and a lot of it from helpful members right here on TH. Thanks!

..all good information. Thanks!
The other Bach site I've used Bachloyalist.com .
I earlier had submitted an update to them based on the shop cards showing my Bach Mercedes #164914 (my only Bach horn) is from 1979.
