So with the upcoming Fallout 4 and me never have gotten around to NV (wanted to wait until the bugs were patched and the modding community had some time to work their magic), I'm now finally looking to start my first playthrough. Game's DL'd, I've just installed NMM. Now I'm looking for the best, most well known and highest rated mods out there.

Due to this game's age, a presentation overhaul is very important to me. I've used ENB with 3 but can't recall which, but there seems to be various ones for all flavors for NV and I'm at a bit of a loss of which to choose, or which texture packs to get. I still want the game to retain the feel of the original, just look much better in terms of lighting, textures, and animations. Weather mods are also something I need as well as some more realistic mods for weapons and scavenging. Just overall, what main mods are a necessity for any Fallout fan? I'm not seeking a hardcore run so I don't want any that ramps up the difficulty too much past vanilla, but don't mind a bit more of an extra challenge or mods that make gameplay elements that seemed wasted in the original now more relevant and impactful. Immersion I love.

Project Nevada Patches

Finally, some tutorials on how to mod would be great. I've looked around, but most are from the game's release years ago. Does anyone know of any 'how to' websites or vids more recently from this year? I modded 3 so know essentially what's involved, but that was a while back and I still had far more compatibility issues than I would have liked. It'd be great to avoid that this time.
